The Zillertal Arena ski area extends from Salzburger Land into Tyrol, connecting the ski destinations of Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten, and Hochkrimml. The Zillertal Arena is the biggest ski area in the Zillertal with 166 kilometers of slopes and 52 lifts.
In Königsleiten there are several sports shops with ski rentals, two ski schools, a supermarket, restaurants, bars and après-ski.

Winter toboggan
There are several toboggan runs around Königsleiten in winter.
A highlight is the 7 km long, illuminated "Gerlosstein" toboggan run in Hainzenberg, which is around a 25-minute drive away.
Cross-country skiing
The high altitude cross-country ski trail ’Höhen-Langlaufloipe’ at 2315 meters above sea level is a 2.5 km long circular trail and offers impressive panoramas of the surrounding mountains. It can be reached in just 8 minutes with the gondola Königsleiten Dorfbahn.
Another great option is the 2.6 km ‘Plattenloipe’ trail in Hochkrimml on the Gerlosplatte. Located in the Sieben Möser nature reserve, it can be reached by car in just 5 minutes. The trail is groomed for both skating and classic techniques, running from the Filzstein car park in Hochkrimml to Silberleiten and back.

The “Königsleiten Dorfbahn” gondola is located about 300 meters from the Ferienwohnungen LANG holiday apartments and can be reached in about 5 minutes.
Many cozy ski huts invite you to stop for a refreshing break. After an eventful day of skiing, our guests can return directly to our holiday apartments. Right behind our holiday homes is a ski slope with a drag lift – the Dorflift – ideal for beginners. Königsleiten promises snowy fun from Christmas to Easter, thanks to its high altitude.
Two ski and snowboard schools in the immediate vicinity support beginners with their first turns. Several sports shops with ski and snowboard service and rentals are also located in Königsleiten. In addition to skiing, there are many other opportunities for sport and fun, such as winter tobogganing, cross-country skiing, and winter hiking.
