Whether with family or friends, tobogganing provides unforgettable winter moments. Several perfectly groomed toboggan runs near Königsleiten await those who want to enjoy the snow in a different way.

Filzstein toboggan run

The 1.5 km long toboggan run is located at the Filzsteinalm and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car from Königsleiten via the Gerlos Alpine Road toll booth. The toll booth is free in winter with a valid ski pass or guest card. Floodlit tobogganing is available during peak season every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM, with Skidoo toboggan transport.

Gerlosstein toboggan run

Another illuminated and varied toboggan run is located in Hainzenberg, about 22 km from Königsleiten. The longest toboggan run in the Zillertal is 7 km long. Sleds and helmets are available for rental on site. The Gerlosstein Goldelbahn cable car takes you up to the toboggan run. During peak season, the run is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM when snow conditions allow. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the run is open from 7:45 PM to 9:15 PM for evening tobogganing with lighting from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

Toboggan run in Wald

The small toboggan run at Finkenhof in Wald is illuminated until 8 PM when there is sufficient snow, and its gentle gradient makes it suitable for even the smallest tobogganers.

Toboggan run in Bramberg / Neukirchen

The 14 km long toboggan run, with a descent time of approximately 30-60 minutes, can be reached via the Wildkogelbahn cable car from Neukirchen (approximately a 30-minute drive from Königsleiten) or the Smaragdbahn cable car from Bramberg. Operating hours also depend on snow conditions and weather conditions. The run is illuminated and open daily until 10 PM (except Mondays until 6 PM), with the last ascent at 4:15 PM. Weather permitting, there is an extended ascent on Fridays with the Smaragdbahn cable car until 6:30 PM.

Toll information WINTER - Gerlos High Alpine Road:

Guests from Wald/Königsleiten, Krimml, Neukirchen and Bramberg receive a free 8-day ticket for the Gerlos High Alpine Road with their guest card at the toll station.

Upon arrival, the booking confirmation is sufficient to pass the toll station free of charge.

Day visitors pay the car toll first, but will be refunded upon presentation of the receipt when purchasing a lift ticket. Winter sports enthusiasts with a valid Zillertal Arena ski pass (chip card) can use the automatic lane at the toll checkpoint free of charge.

Please note: With the end of the ski season, the Gerlos High Alpine Road will again be subject to tolls for all vehicles.
